Bespoke Home Builders Port Melbourne

Intelligent design solution was developed by Chan Architecture to combat a common challenge with heritage properties – a family in need of more living space and natural light.

APC Build worked closely with the architect to reduce existing levels to create additional height through the rear extension. Light now floods into the ground floor living area via a lightwell placed behind the kitchen and through extended skylights in the living room.

Original elements of the existing home were left exposed with the steel frame and red brick walls creating an industrial warehouse feel, efficiently blending old heritage charm, creating a new contemporary aesthetic.

The home showcases tiling features including encaustic tiles in the bathrooms and patterned mosaics to the feature fire place in the living area Panels at varying sizes, levels of texture and transparencies of period stained glass windows inspired the rear fac╠žade.

A spacious, light filled family solution.
